ChemV12BL, Organic Chemistry II Lab
ChemV12BL is designed to allow hands-on learning and application of laboratory techniques and lecture topics in organic chemistry. Students will be instructed in the safe and accurate use of organic-specific chemicals, glassware, instrumentation, techniques, and equipment. Topics include qualitative analysis of functional groups, distillation, reflux, organic syntheses, structural elucidation from IR, MS, NMR, and GC spectra, mechanism determination, and separation, isolation, and identification techniques.
Students must be simultaneously enrolled in or have already passed ChemV12B.
